Abstract
Le graphique 12.6 montre les régions qui présentent des conditions favorables à la création d’emplois de qualité en raison d’une offre et d’une demande de compétences de haut niveau. En 2011, 28 régions économiques du Canada1 se trouvaient dans une situation d’« d’équilibre à haut niveau de compétences », dans laquelle une offre élevée de compétences (proportion d’individus titulaires d’un diplôme de l’enseignement post-secondaire) rencontre une demande élevée de compétences (proportion des emplois de niveaux intermédiaire et élevé de compétences, et revenu). Vingt-trois régions économiques se trouvaient dans une situation d’« équilibre à faible niveau de compétences », dans laquelle l’offre et la demande de compétences sont toutes deux à un faible niveau.
