Abstract
Introduction The Bucuti & Tara Resort is a world-class resort in Aruba that has focused on reducing its environmental footprint. It was the first certified carbon neutral hotel in the Caribbean. It is also a hotel that is socially conscious and service-oriented. In 2018, it had a 97% occupancy rate and almost 70% were repeat customers. This is due to the leadership and vision of the Bucuti & Tara owner, Ewald Biemans. Despite the many social and environmental initiatives implemented by the Bucuti & Tara Resort, it wishes to increase its sustainability efforts and influence on the community around it.
