Abstract
Allyson Kent was an enthusiastic 18 year old when she started her learning disability nurse training. Since then, she has risen through the ranks of community and acute nursing, driven by her ambition to influence a greater number of practitioners to improve care, while raising the profile of learning disability nursing.
