Abstract
Cogent Systems has announced its financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2009. First quarter 2009 revenues were US$31.0 million, an increase of 26% over revenue of US$24.6 million in the same period last year. Net income on a GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2009 was US$9.0 million, or US$0.10 per diluted share. This compares to GAAP net income of US$14.4 million, or US$0.16 per diluted share in the same period a year ago, which included US$10.0 million, or US$0.07 per share, in settlement income related to the company's settlement agreement with Northrop Grumman.
