Abstract
System analysis is a critical subject in every discipline, including thermodynamics. In this book, it is arranged in an innovative way to make a prime focus on system analysis, before moving to the power generation and refrigeration cycles, through the balance equations written for mass, energy, entropy, and exergy for two key types of thermodynamic systems, such as closed and open systems. In this way the previously introduced concepts will be taken one step further ahead and written in a holistic manner for system analysis. There will be numerous examples for various types of system to better illustrate the approach for system analysis in thermodynamics.
