Abstract
For the second quarter of 2019, German speciality chemicals company Lanxess AG reported net income of€100 million on sales of€1.810 billion. Compared to figures of€97 million and€1.829 billion respectively in 2Q 2018, net income increased by 3.1% year on year while quarterly sales declined slightly by 1.0%. Describing the results as ‘good’ despite the weaker economy and geopolitical uncertainties, Lanxess confirms that it remains on track to achieve its guidance for full-year 2019.
