Abstract
Vitamin D deficiencyConcerns about vitamin D deficiency in the UK were highlighted by the chief medical officer in February 2012. Up to one quarter of the population has low levels of vitamin D and most pregnant women do not take supplements. Two papers on vitamin D deficiency are summarised, one on adults in the UK, the other on adolescents in the United States.
