L’auteur essaie d’entendre ici ce que dit, plus immédiatement dans les langues espagnole ( desaparición ) et portugaise ( desaparecimento ) que dans la langue française, le mot de disparition, ou de « dés-apparition » : au mystère de l’apparition, ce que l’on n’attendait pas, répond l’énigme de la disparition, de ce qui disparaît comme il était apparu, sans laisser de traces, plongé dans l’oubli. Entendre l’oubli et la lutte à mort de la mémoire contre cet oubli – pour pouvoir enfin décider d’oublier ? Entendre ces disparus et ce qu’ils nous disent de l’injonction de se souvenir.
