Ce livre est paru lors de l’exposition que consacra le Musée Rietberg du 20 avril au 18 août 2013 à l’un de ses principaux donateurs, à l’origine de la fondation du musée. En 1952, la ville de Zurich obtint mille six cents œuvres d’art non-européen provenant des trois mille pièces de la collection du baron Eduard von der Heydt. Décédé sans héritiers, sa collection d’art moderne revint ensuite à la ville de Wuppertal et la propriété de la colline du Monte Verità – achetée en 1926 pour cent soi...
