Abstract
Cover description: Assessing habitat and climate change impacts on grassland birds of North America is the focus of papers by Wilsey et al. and Grand et al. in the April issue of Conservation Science and Practice. Pictured here are a male (left) and female (right) Bobolink (Dolichonyx oryzivorus). The bobolink is a species in decline whose ecology makes it particularly difficult to assess as they nest in grasslands, shift to wetlands for post-breeding feeding and winter in South America.Loss of grassland habitat and management (harvest in grasslands during nesting) have been associated with at least a part of this decline.
