Abstract
es dernières années, un bon nombre de publications et de cours de formation ont mis l'accent sur le diagnostic et la prise en charge de la sécheresse oculaire.Le Congrès de l'ACO tenu cette année à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, n'a pas fait exception, consacrant quelques séances générales et de nombreuses expositions de l'Optofoire à ce sujet.Dans ce numéro, les Drs Irving, Hrynchak et Machan poursuivent leur analyse des données sur les patients de la clinique d'optométrie de l'Université de Waterloo avec un rapport sur les symptômes et les résultats cliniques associés à la sécheresse oculaire et une estimation de sa prévalence avec l'âge.Leur étude fournit des preuves importantes que la sécheresse oculaire ne se limite pas aux femmes ménopausées et aux personnes atteintes de maladies auto-immunes.
