The construction of transportable radioactive concrete sources for portable and airborne gamma-ray spectrometers calibration is described in some detail. The eight concrete sources were constructed following the model adopted by the Geological Survey of Canada and have the dimensions of 1 m x 1 m x 0,3 m. Two sources containing only the bulk concret mass were designed for background radiation observations. Three sources are particulary enriched in one of the three main natural radioactive elements (K, U, Th) with traces of the other two. The remaining three sources contain varying amounts of the radioactives elements.
