Abstract
A medicina do trauma e a abordagem ao paciente politraumatizado são alguns dos temas mais desafiadores da atualidade já que requerem grande experiência médica – com exímio conhecimento anatômico – suporte de uma equipe multidisciplinar dedicada e uma infraestrutura adequada, disponível em centros especializados em traumatologia para receber esse tipo de vítima. Esse cenário foi ilustrado e debatido durante a sétima sessão do Curso de Extensão em Cirurgia, promovido pela Academia Nacional de Medicina. Na sessão de 30 de setembro de 2021 houve a outorga Miguel Noel Burnier.
