Abstract
Abstract Few research approaches address the effects of research on the researcher, from the researcher's perspective. Autoethnography is an emerging qualitative research method in which the researcher writes in a highly personalized style, addressing the effects of the research on themselves and drawing on their lived experiences in order to extend understanding about a particular phenomenon of interest.
