Abstract
Had you been alert last month, you would have noticed an item by Mike Burianyk in the May TLE. He is on the Global Affairs Committee, SEG's largest and most active committee. They had a committee meeting in Calgary in March. Mike's comments are about the disproportionate share of voting members (Active) to nonvoting members (Associate) and further states that most Active members are in the United States. Quoting Mike, “… the international membership is severely under-represented in the voting class.” If you are going to follow this item, it would be helpful if you went back to the May issue. Mike says that he was purposely provocative in order to provoke (wow!). Go get provoked.
