Depuis le néant d’avant la création du monde, le noir ne cesse de recréer sa propre définition. Perçue aujourd’hui comme un comble de l’élégance (ainsi que le suggère, entre autres exemples, Coco Noir, le parfum Chanel), cette couleur de deuil et de transgression en conflit avec la lumière, suscite dans l’œuvre de Françoise Lalande de nombreuses actualisations. Il m’a semblé intéressant de retenir et d’analyser une scène traumatique vécue au Congo où le noir joue un rôle particulier, comme atmosphère et/ou comme couleur. Cette scène qui revient de manière obsédante dans l’œuvre lalandienne, est à l’origine de son écriture. C’est son noyau fantasmatique. Il la génère et se décline en subtiles variations au fil des années.
