Robert FrostÁ from the Road Not Taken This classic poem always reminds me of Autumn and of the subtle decisions one makes as he/she chooses between the many divergent roads of life.With a sigh, I reflect on a recent road I chose to travel; and as I complete my term as BC Branch President, glance over my shoulder, and gaze back upon my footsteps, I see the fallen leaves already blurring my recently trodden path.It is hard to believe that my term has come to an end.It was a furious 2 years.A wild ride.From the completion of the CPC to its launch; from the re-invention of the MSC to its relaunch; to the development and launch of PDH's and CoPE; to my post as National Treasurer and all the National business planning that had to be developed along with the CPC, the development of the NEC's 3-year strategic plan; to our own BC Branch strategic planning session, our 3-day educational workshop tour, the joint IFEH World Congress and CIPHI AEC, BCIT curriculum updates, defense of BC EHO's to the Ministers, the dissolution of the BC Board of Registration, the creation of President-Elect, the final chapter for Bylaw #2, our lobby of the Ministry to adopt CPHI and the CPC, and the Christmas lunches * let's keep the Presidents prize alive folks!I walk away proud of these accomplishments.I owe much of it to the support from my Branch Executive, Tim Roark, in his wisdom and experience, the NEC members, and the support that came forth from our members and all the dedicated CIPHI volunteers along the way.As my path blurs and a new one emerges, I feel confident in the transition of the BC Branch Presidency to Gary Tam, as Jasmina did in me, and Steve Chong surely did in her.I am sure it will be a smooth and productive road.We have a strong Branch with a very participatory history which I am certain will continue onward with new blood and spirit.It has been a pleasure to travel this road with all of you.
