Abstract
he graduating Forest Resources Technology class received their Silver Rings from the CIF/IFC on the evening of March 13, 2008.Approximately sixty people attended the ceremony at the Greenwood Inn, Corner Brook.Graduates, parents, faulty, staff, local politicians and invited guests from industry and government were in attendance.Wayne Brown, from Corner Brook Pulp and Paper, was emcee for the evening.Mohammed Nazir, Section Chair, presented the students with their rings and welcomed them into the profession.Special guest Dave MacLean, Dean of Forestry and Environmental Science at the University of New Brunswick, addressed the graduates on the importance of being active within the CIF/IFC.Jonathan Pynn was the 2008 recipient of the CIF/IFC Gold Medal.This award is presented to the graduate in recognition of outstanding scholarship, sportsmanship and citizenship throughout the two years of study
