Abstract
Abstract Bullflex O‐ring seals are primarily used for the launch and breakthrough of tunnel boring machines in start and target shafts. The system is based on textile hoses made of high‐strength fabric, which are filled with concrete and have good sealing properties and a high load‐bearing capacity. During construction of the Emscher interceptor, they ensured numerous entrances and exits of tunnelling machines in the BA30 construction lot (see page 116).
