He received his Bachelors degree in Statistics and Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Victoria. He then completed his doctorate in the Department of Mathematics at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. His dissertation investigated properties of totally nonnegative matrices. He is an assistant professor at the University of Regina in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. His research interests are primarily in linear algebra with particular emphasis on various types of matrix positivity and algebraic graph theory.
