Abstract
L’Œ est un texte poétique. Il met en scène un personnage fictionnel habitant le globe oculaire. L’Œ repose sur une mise en doute de la matérialité de l’image et de la réalité des corps présents devant et dans l’image. Surface d’apparition et de disparition, la rétine constitue l’écran devant lequel le personnage de L’Œ sonde l’origine et l’issue des images qui s’incarnent furtivement dans la chair. Depuis le récit poétique dont il procède, traité comme image vectorielle, L’Œ poursuit ses méditations dans l’espace numérique pour se mettre à l’épreuve de lui-même, pris au piège de ce qu’il questionne, se métamorphosant au gré de son introspection. Le texte se décline en différentes variations de mise en page et de typographies allant du texte brut à la composition purement graphique. Entre matière et représentation, objet et sujet, le texte devient image, matière en mouvement. « L’Œ » se prononce [lø], il est la combinaison du « L » — l’un des noms donné au personnage du récit — et du digramme soudé des lettres e et o. Si le mot n’existe pas dans la langue française il est présent dans certains mots comme œil, œuf, œuvre.
