Abstract
Aujourd’hui, on constate fréquemment que, par opposition à ce que certains désignent comme « l’âge d’or de la recherche qualitative » (Anadòn, 2006), il existe un lien plus lâche, moins fréquent entre l’esprit de contestation de l’ordre établi et cette manière particulière d’envisager la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales. Sur la base de l’étude de deux cas, deux parcours incarnant deux postures de recherches qualitatives marquées par un plus ou moins grand « esprit de contestation de l’ordre établi », cette contribution propose d’évaluer les incidences de cet état de fait. Partageant un même objet d’investigation, la formation de base d’adultes faiblement scolarisés, les auteurs confrontent leurs postures respectives et en identifient apports et limites.
