A aprendizagem organizacional é um campo de pesquisa marcado por uma diversidade de possibilidades teóricas e epistemológicas. Entre elas, estão as abordagens teóricas que subsidiam a realização de pesquisas intervencionistas. O argumento central que norteia a pesquisa intervencionista é que não é suficiente que o pesquisador compreenda o mundo, é preciso agir para transformá-lo. A partir disso, este ensaio reflete sobre as possibilidades de contribuição à pesquisa em aprendizagem organizacional a partir da adoção das abordagens da Teoria da Atividade Histórico-Cultural e da Psicologia Social Comunitária Latino-americana, que podem subsidiar pesquisas intervencionistas em Estudos Organizacionais. Nessas abordagens, a aprendizagem organizacional é compreendida como o processo transformativo ocorrido pelos sujeitos da atividade, pelo pesquisador articulador do aprendizado e pela comunidade das organizações pesquisadas; portanto, todos são coautores do conhecimento produzido.
