Abstract
In the second quarter of 2018, Eastman Chemical Co reported 8% growth in sales revenue, from US$2.419 billion in 2Q 2017 to $2.621 billion for the same period this year. The company generated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of $491 million in 2Q 2018, up 17% from $420 million a year earlier. Net earnings attributable to Eastman were $344 million for the quarter, an increase of almost 18% from $292 million achieved in 2Q 2017.
