Abstract
Une égale représentation des femmes et des hommes dans l’emploi public est un indicateur notable de progrès sur la voie de la constitution d’un effectif de personnel plus diversifié et plus représentatif de la société. Dûment gérée, la diversité favorise le développement du vivier de talents disponible pour contribuer au fonctionnement de l’organisation. Une diversité de points de vue et d’expériences au sein des organisations du secteur public peut se traduire par des politiques et des services qui répondent mieux aux besoins de la population. Dans la haute administration publique, la parité est un indicateur important du rôle que jouent les femmes dans les processus décisionnels et dans l’élaboration des politiques.
