Abstract
O periódico Acta Semiotica et Lingvistica apresenta ao leitor, seu vigésimo quarto volume, referentes Ano 43, com três números: Nº 1, Nº2 e uma Edição Especial. Na sua política editorial, dá continuidade ao caráter intercultural que acolhe o diferente, aprendendo com ele e, assim, caminhando de acordo com os anseios do mundo moderno, sobretudo no Brasil, país continental, onde a espetacular mistura de raças e culturas pode levar a um ideal democrático de compreensão mútua. O mundo necessita de excluir a barbárie e de aceitar as diferenças. Este primeiro número contém artigos produzidos por pesquisadores, nacionais e estrangeiros, que analisaram textos, literários ou não, dentro do perfil de tendências semióticas contemporâneas como a greimasiana a peirceana e a semiótica das culturas. Nesta última direção, caminha o texto Devenir un Bouddha: analyse sémiotique des visualisations dans le bouddhisme tibetain, escrito por Louis Hérbert do Departamento de Letras e Humanidades da Universidade do Quebec em Rimouski (UQAR). Tomando como base a teoria das zonas antrópicas de Rastier (2010), à qual anexa “quelques precisions et complements”, aquele autor faz um estudo do Sādhana, um tipo de prática do Vajrayāna, ou seja, do budismo tântrico hindu-tibetano. A tradução incide sobre este texto do autor canadense, bem como a entrevista destaca seu percurso acadêmico e profissional.
