VALIDATION OF FUNCTION ASSESSMENT SCALE FOR ELDERS IN OLD AGE HOMES IN INDIA
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Balaswamy, OSU, Columbus, Ohio Developing instruments locally increases the relevance and appropriateness of adapting assessment tools considered to be 'gold standards'. Although the most widely used SF-36 has been modified by WHO for cross-cultural assessments, it still contains many western culture-specific task questions that are inapplicable to elders in developing countries. This study aims to develop and validate a new function assessment (FA) scale suitable for elders living in institutional settings in India. To increase content validity, data was collected from 15 elderly residents who listed culture-specific tasks that were important to them, which was analyzed to generate a FA questionnaire in local language. This FA survey was administered to 82 residents who shared rooms using convenience sampling. Results showed strong correlation between self-assessment and functional ability rated by cohabiting residents (.89), and high reliability of FA measure ( = .82). Findings have implications for developing need based services and increasing funds for NPO.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
