Abstract
In Canada, Imerys Talc North America has been undertaking a multi-year, multi-phase investment project at its talc production facilities in Timmins, Ontario. The company reports that its latest investment will complete the expansion project by increasing the plant's production capacity with a proprietary beneficiation technology. This will enable Imerys to supply the automotive, appliance and packaging sectors with a minimum 92 brightness, lamellar, micronized talc from a North American source for the first time in the industry's history.
