Abstract Property, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930) Kimco Realty is a self‐administered real estate investment trust that owns and operates neighborhood and community shopping centers. In addition, Co. provides preferred equity capital for real estate entrepreneurs and provides real estate capital and advisory services to both healthy and distressed retailers. As of Jan 31 2007, Co. had interests in 1,348 properties, totaling approximately 175.4 million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA) located in 45 states, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Co.'s ownership interests in real estate consist of its consolidated portfolio, portfolios where it owns an economic interest and other properties or portfolios where it also retains management.
