This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: 1. To study the effectiveness of peer support interventions in improving the health and well‐being of individuals with chronic disease. 2. To study the potential for peer support interventions to reduce inequalities in health across PROGRESS categories for people with chronic disease.
