Abstract
Abstract Construction ‐ Public Infrastructure (MIC: 3.1 SIC: 611 NAIC: 37310) Martin Marietta Materials is principally engaged in the aggregates business used in the construction of highways, and in domestic commercial and residential construction. As of Dec 31 2004, Co.'s aggregates and asphalt products and ready‐mixed concrete were sold from a network of 308 quarries, distribution facilities and plants to customers in 28 states, Canada and the Caribbean. Also, Co. has a Specialty Products segment that produces magnesia‐based chemicals products used in industrial, agricultural and environmental applications; dolomitic lime sold for the steel industry; and structural composite products used in a variety of industries.
