Ce numéro regroupe neuf articles produits par des chercheurs en sciences de l’éducation, en anthropologie et en psychologie, travaillant au Québec, au Royaume-Uni et en France. Il est motivé par la rareté des publications francophones relatives aux rituels scolaires alors que leur dépérissement fait l’objet d’annonces répétées. Aussi, une partie des contributions du présent numéro s’attache à faire le point sur les fonctions des rituels en maternelle, tandis que d’autres analysent des pratiques rituelles dans d’autres institutions scolaires.
