Si les progrès vers une croissance verte ont été relativement lents depuis le dernier examen en 2004, le Canada s’emploie désormais à mettre en place de solides cadres d’action et mesures pour soutenir sa transition vers une croissance verte. Il mobilise par ailleurs de nouveaux efforts de collaboration entre les administrations fédérales, provinciales et territoriales. Ce chapitre est consacré aux progrès réalisés par le Canada vers la croissance verte et il examine notamment les taxes liées à l’environnement, les autres instruments économiques, les investissements dans les infrastructures et les services environnementaux, la situation de l’éco-innovation et des marchés des biens et services environnementaux, les mesures destinées à faire face aux conséquences sociales de la croissance verte et les interactions entre l’environnement, le commerce international et l’aide au développement.
