Abstract Log regression (LR) is widely used to model environmental data because the measurements tend to show positively skewed frequency curves and higher variability with higher concentration levels. A compelling reason for the popularity of LR is the simplicity of estimating and making inferences about the regression coefficients using existing software packages for the normal theory linear models.
