Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Subject Cannabis market. Significance Mainstream interest in the cannabis industry may have reached a tipping point after Constellation Brands, owner of the Corona and Modelo beer brands, last month made a 4-billion-dollar equity investment into Canadian cannabis firm Canopy Growth. Impacts Many more mainstream consumer brands will venture into cannabis and supporting industries following the Constellation Brands investment. Investor caution about the regulatory risks plant-touching enterprises face may mean indirect ancillary businesses see the fastest growth. The current dynamism and high profit margins of the cannabis sector provide a favourable platform for innovative technologies to emerge. Federal Drug Agency approval of a cannabis-derived drug in June will prompt investment in medical uses of cannabinoids and terpenes.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
