Aquest llibre en format electrònic vol ser una edició dels primers proto- cols notarials de Tenerife, que són de gran importància per a la història de les Illes Canàries. El llibre s'insereix dins dels estudis sobre documentació notarial i dins de l'edició de fonts canàries. Es segueix la línia marcada per les edicions italianes de llibres notarials i també per la Fundació Noguera en l'edició de protocols notarials catalans, un altre exemple que no pot deixar-se de banda ja que és un referent a nivell internacional. A més és important fer notar com l'edició de protocols notarials té per objectiu estudiar la institució notarial, però també vol apropar aquesta documentació a la comunitat científica. Per això cal lloar la iniciativa d'aquest treball.
