Abstract
Das Wachstum wird sich den Projektionen zufolge im zweiten Halbjahr 2019 auf rd. 2% (Jahresrate) erholen. Die Ausfuhren werden infolge der Lockerung der staatlich verfügten Kürzung der Ölfördermengen in Alberta und des stärkeren Wachstums der Exportmärkte anziehen. Die Unternehmen werden ihre Investitionen aufstocken, um ihre Kapazitäten und ihre Produktivität zu steigern und von neuen Steueranreizen Gebrauch zu machen. Das Beschäftigungswachstum wird sich voraussichtlich verlangsamen, die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte jedoch nahe ihrem Rekordtiefststand verharren.
