Christoph LosfeldLa recherche dix-huitièmiste, depuis les années 1990, a mis l'accent sur les facettes longtemps occultées de la fin du siècle des Lumières 1 , faisant apparaître combien confuse était la situation dans l'Empire, avant même la Révolution française et encore plus après son déclenchement.C'est ainsi que des formes de la sociabilité longtemps considérées comme éclairées, à l'image de la franc-maçonnerie, se sont révélées être en partie porteuse d'un courant conservateur, voire contre-révolutionnaire.Erich Donnert, en publiant un reprint de deux textes de Karl Dietrich Wehrt (1747-1811) et Johann August Stark (1741-1816), permet de se rendre compte d'une telle complexité.Ces deux textes qui jusqu'ici étaient difficiles d'accès, peuvent être désormais lus par un public qui restera, cependant, probablement composé de spécialistes, et ce au regard du caractère sinueux et complexes des argumentations qui s'y éploient.On aurait souhaité, pourtant, que le texte de Wehrt soit reproduit dans son intégralité et non interrompu d'une manière sensiblement abrupte (p.210).Afin de rendre ces deux pamphlets plus accessibles, E.
