Avec ces quatre nouveaux volumes, l'éditeur allemand Walter de Gruyter poursuit, à bon rythme, la publication de son « Encyclopédie de la Bible et de sa réception » (Encyclopedia of the Bible and its Reception ; ci-après EBR).Amorcée en 2009, rappelons que l'objectif de l'EBR est de publier, en trente volumes, des articles relatifs aux bibles chrétienne et juive ainsi qu'à leur réception, de leurs origines jusqu'aujourd'hui 1 .Avant les articles proprement dit, le lecteur trouvera une liste détaillée des figures, planches et cartes présentes dans le volume, dont certaines sont en couleurs, une liste des abréviations de même qu'une liste des corrigenda apportées aux volumes précédents.Parmi les articles à souligner dans le volume 3, notons ceux relatifs aux figures d'Augustin, de l'Empereur Auguste, de Baal, de Jean-Sébastien Bach, de Balaam, de Barnabé, de Bartholomée, de
