Comment intégrer le concept d'externalité dans le contexte environnemental ? Une nouvelle approche est proposée : les problèmes environnemetaux seraient alors considérés à travers le prisme de la théorie des coûts de transaction. Quand les entreprises produisent du capital social. A partir d'une étude sur les boucanières du Nouveau-Brunswick (Canada), la période de transition entre une situation fortement concurrencielle et une situation de coopération entre entreprises est analysée et fait apparaître les conditions économiques nécessaires à la formation du capital social. Avec une multitude de petites exploitations et un foncier morcelé, l'agriculture roumaine porte encore les traces des dernières politiques foncières. La mise en place de l'indemnité viagère a-t-elle stimulé la marché de la terre ? Quel a été le contexte de sa mise en oeuvre et quels ont été les premiers impacts ? Les populations rurales malgaches sont les plus touchées par la pauvreté. Une meilleure connaissance des mécanismes explicatifs de la pauvreté rurale est nécessaire pour comprendre la mise en oeuvre de politiques socio-économiques différenciées. A ce titre, deux trajectoires distinctes de pauvreté sont ici étudiées : pauvreté chronique et pauvreté transitoire.
