Abstract Commercial Banking (MIC: 8.1 SIC: 6021 NAIC:522110) Bank of Nova Scotia is a diversified financial services institution, that provides retail, commercial, corporate, investment and international banking services to individuals, small and medium‐size businesses, corporations and governments across Canada and around the world. Operations are organized into three main operating segments, including domestic banking, international banking and Scotia Capital. As of Oct 31 2003, Co.'s total assets, assets under management and deposits amounted to C$285.89 billion, C$19.96 billion and C$192.67 billion, respectively. As of Oct 31 2003, Co. maintained a banking network of 1,850 branches and offices, and 3,918 automated teller machines.
