This work captures the phenomenon of aging, demonstrating that although the physical body transforms, the elderly man has the same unique and defining human spirit as his younger self. This idea shapes the way we interact with our aging patient population, as we treat our patients with revered dignity that appreciates their personhood, past but also equally present.
