Abstract
PAGE 172 Research from Japan has demonstrated a reduction in the differential modal gain between the LP01 and LP11 signals in a few-mode erbium-doped fibre amplifier (FM-EDFA) by employing a ring-core few-mode erbium-doped fibre (RC-EDF). An FM-EDFA that employs the RC-EDF can be applied to a long-haul transmission with few-mode fibres – one of the technologies used to overcome the capacity limit of conventional transmission systems. PAGE 181 In work from France, researchers have produced a novel reconfigurable power amplifier (PA) that is able to adapt its behaviour according to the input power level. The structure relies on a power cell switching architecture with 4 power cells, and distributed active transformers are used as a power splitter and power combiner. This technique is used to reduce power consumption of PA for RF emitter architecture for wireless communications. A FM-EDFA employing the RC-EDF can be applied to a long-haul transmission with few-mode fibres PAGE 170 In work from Japan, optical microresonant mode switching in a hexagonal GaN microdisk, which acts as a whispering gallery mode (WGM) and quasi-WGM, was demonstrated by changing the condition of a reflection surface under a room temperature photoluminescence measurement. The potential applications of hexagonal GaN microdisks include micro lasers, optical switches and microsensors. A novel reconfigurable power amplifier adapts its behaviour according to input power level PAGE 149 A novel approach on smart grid state estimation, based on concatenated coding structures – where the grid state is treated as a dynamic outer code and the recursive systematic convolutional code is seen as concatenated inner code for protecting and redundancy in the system state – has been proposed in work from Australia. This method may be used to broaden communication in power infrastructures. Hexagonal GaN microdisks could be used in micro lasers and optical switches PAGE 173 A highly efficient planar magnetically coupled resistance-wireless power transfer (MCR-WPT) system, using two additional resonators for the transmitter and receiver to increase the Q-factor of the resonators, has been presented in work from China and Canada. The compact design, low profile structure and high transfer efficiency render the proposed planar MCR-WPT system a good candidate for wireless energy transfer to small electronic devices. Novel smart grid state estimation method may increase communication in power infrastructures Highly efficient MCR-WPT design is a good candidate for wireless energy transfer to small electronic devices

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
