The standard draws on the 'Stoplight' process which has been important in improving contractor HSE performance in Shell US E&P operations. It has also been successfully implemented in Shell Expro, UK and Shell Canada and in a pilot trial in Shell Malaysia. The paper will provide an overview of the key elements of the Contractor HSE Management and provide insights into implementation challenges based on Shell E&P Asia Pacific with specifics on Shell E&P Malaysia's experiences.
