Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: Primary objective: To assess the effect of antihypertensive pharmacotherapy on the incidence of sudden cardiac death in people who have high blood pressure. Secondary objective: To assess the effect of antihypertensive pharmacotherapy on the incidence of non‐fatal myocardial and fatal myocardial infarction in people who have high blood pressure.
