Abstract
The biomedical plays an extremely important role in coping with health situations, through the diagnosis of various pathologies, and also contributes to prevention and treatment with specific purposes. Among the areas of expertise or professional qualification, Public Health and Sanitarism stand out as to the role of surveillance to collaborate in the investigation of diseases and diseases, as well as the quality of health products and services offered to the population. Given this, the present production aims to report the experiences obtained in the Supervised Curricular Internship II, of the Bachelor Degree Course in Biomedicine, held in the last period of graduation, in the Health Department of a municipality in the Northeast of Brazil, in the area of Surveillance. . From the theoretical aspects, allied to the practice acquired during the 500h of the internship, it was possible to know the reality of the municipality, as well as to deepen the professional practice in Public Health, with regard to the sections of Georeferencing, Systems Diseases Notification, Laboratory of Clinical Analysis, and the sectors focused on the evaluation of products, food and services, under the supervision of professionals from the Biological and Health Sciences, with the realization of real investigations before various users and institutions. Therefore, the internship contributed to the acquisition of knowledge and experiences, as well as to strengthen the field of action of the biomedical, being suggested the specification of Epidemiology as an area of expertise and qualification, in addition to holding events aimed at the consolidation of Biomedicine in Public Health.
