Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

General Chairs Welcome message to the WPNC'14 guests in Dresden!Mobile position aware energy efficient radio systems combined with modern applications are becoming more and more important.Challenges in various areas of signal processing and communications technology need to be solved developing positioning, navigation and communication systems. The organizers of the 11 th IEEE Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication (WPNC'14) intend this event to provide an overview of the state-of-the art of wireless positioning approaches in research and development as well as in system implementation.Following the 10 years good tradition this time a high number of premium quality scientific and technical contributions were submitted by numerous authors from around the globe.According to the spirit of the IEEE co-sponsored WPNC only a selection of them could be accepted for publication.Following the history it was decided by the Conference Board, that the WPNC'2014 should stay a single track event lasting for about 1.5 days. Now 20 min extended presentation time plus some extra 5 min time for discussions is foreseen. This limits the number of oral presentations to about 20 for this year's event. In addition a poster session is organized taking the wishes from the audience to keep this type as well. The team of the University of Applied Sciences Dresden has organized a warm welcome and a convenient stay for all WPNC'14 guests. Please do not hesitate to contact any team member in case of support or service is required. We would like to thank very much all the WPNC Board and TPC members, all local contributors and of course all authors as well as all guests for contributing to the success of this event and we wish you all together interesting talks and lively discussions in a nice and constructive, open atmosphere during this year's WPNC'14.Coming along with our thanks we would like to take the opportunity to cordially invite all of you for the next year's WPNC'15, which will take place in March 2015 in Dresden.Details are provided in the draft Call for Paper for WPNC'15 and on the final Call for Papers, which will be released quite soon on the WPNC web site www.wpnc.net.Stay tuned.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
