Abstract
In the mid-1990s, cytopathologists believed they were at the pinnacle of lung cancer diagnosis.Herein, Dr. Leiman reviews the past 20 years of Cancer Cytopathology, and discusses the developments that have carried pulmonary cytopathology into the modern arena of lung cancer diagnosis, staging, and prognosis.
