Abstract
Two kilometres below the surface of the earth scientists are aiming to plot the origins of the universe at the SNOLAB astroparticle physics centre in Canada. When the international science laboratory, based at the Vale Creighton Mine near Ontario, required specialist vacuum pump equipment it turned to Busch for help. Two teams from the global vacuum pump and over pressure blower manufacturer combined to successfully provide the answer.
