Abstract
Die einzigartige Topologie von Protein G aus Streptokokken (GB1) ist die Ursache für seine bemerkenswerte mechanische Stabilität. Dieses nichtmechanische Protein ist mechanisch stabil und entfaltet sich bei etwa 180 pN. Die gezeigten Kraft-Ausdehnungs-Kurven (rechts) belegen das mechanische Entwirren jeder GB1-Domäne eines Polyproteins mit GB1-Tandem-Wiederholung (links).
